Hi, I’m Michael.
I’m a 20-something guy from Scotland, I’m very tall, and I really like books. I am a graduate of the University of Stirling with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in English Studies.
As cliché as it is, I’ve been reading for as long as I can possibly remember. I grew up with Enid Blyton’s The Magic Faraway Tree series and, as with every other reader of my generation, the Harry Potter series. But it wasn’t until I read Christopher Paolini’s Inheritance Cycle and I started to make friends online with other fans of the series did I really realise that I was going to forever be completely wrapped up in the online book community!
Right now I’m mainly an avid reader (and writer, but more on that later) of the YA genre. Expect mainly book reviews and book-related discussions on this blog for the time being, and feel free to follow me and chat with me on twitter about anything book related @_michaelburns and add me as a friend on Goodreads. If you want to check out some of my other thoughts, you might occasionally see me pop up over at Bookstacked, an online YA Books News, Reviews, and Discussions magazine, where I’m a Features Writer!
